Since they cause me daily delight, I have decided to make some room for my plants in the Ivorytower. Or rather in The Garden.

Since creating those 300% standard html pages will take another millenium at my current speed, I have decided to clean up the biggest "no-nos" in the files and fling them back up...the Ivorytower is a pretty sorry place when empty.
So everybody is moving back in, now and the clean-up-commando crawls after.

Of course, the beginnings were made by the resident inhabitants! See the good old galleries of Ailanreanter and Mielahis.
(And yes, adding a "back" button on those picture pages IS the next thing I do...)

The pages have now big headers (images), yet still, viewing them with a screenreader should be possible, as I have added a hidden div-class which makes it possible to use the normal tags for headings.

I added to the about page, introducing the three burning liveins here at the tower. ^_~

I am most pleased to announce that I created the startpage for the gallery on the website now. Not only did I manage for the first time to float an image AND its caption, it also looked exactly alike in the Browsers IE, Opera, Firefox, Safari and Chrome and when I looked at it at work.
Count me impressed, layouting through CSS rocks! ==^===^===

Some changes will be made to it, still, though. I am looking to replace the "Ailanreanter" image and the categories "Old Stuff" and "Miscellaneous" will get replaced with "Unfinished" and "Everything Else".
When I change the names, I have to find new preview piccies, too, of course.

I have now put back some text, which I could use from the old page, as well as the future navigation- most of the links lead to the "under construction" page, still, though.
But I have quick-made a new list-point image, as the previously used ivy leaves were near invisible on the site background.
The background behind the text is a rather simple parchment-effect, I am not yet decided what it will look like in the end, but for now I wanted something that is easy on the eyes. Thanks to the stylesheet, a change in the background will be not difficult at all.

The image on the startpage was made a bit smaller, like this it looks better. The tower is not finished btw., but like this it was already useable for a nice image.

Links were added, as well as the main-site of the webpage, but it is pretty empty, still. Also, both domains point now to this page, which is now to be found under both

www.my-ivorytower.de and www.my-ivory-tower.de

I figured like that there will be no confusion anymore if my second domain (from my other webspace) does point to the same place.

If any errors occur, please drop me a line. Speaking of errors- I wanted to set my own error pages again. Aw, well, tomorrow is another day, LOL!!

Welcome to the Yard

Hi All,

this is the Ivory Tower's Yard, a place where I will post site-related news. Especially currently, since the whole page is under rebuild after suffering a virus-attack and infection. This is solved now, though.

The mess with the viruses has shown me the importance to have a means to keep people updated and if only to warn them, even while your own site is down or disfunctional. And so, with the rebuild of my tower, I also created this page for just this reason. It will be there if anything prevents you to view or use the main site. So it would be wise to bookmark it, maybe.

What is new?
We got a new start page with a new image made by me.
That is all so far, I am afraid.

How long will it take you to get it all up again?
That depends on how fast my henchfiends work. *g* If I run out of bribery, it might take a while...
No, honest, I have no idea how long it will take. But most likely I will make everything that is already fixed available bit by bit, instead of waiting for all to be finished.
You can check back here or on the website from time to time. You can also try pestering me, but I am not sure if it will work. *g*
